Online Card Class ~ Day 2 Card

Hi everyone I hope you are having a fabulous day.  Fall is here and I love the rain and the changing of the colors.  So gorgeous.

Todays card was inspired by Kristina Werner.  Her card for our class showed us how to do a tri-fold card and I wanted to do this by extending a giraffe all the way through the card.  Oh what fun this was.

So I started out with my giraffe from Avery Elle and stamped him probably 5 times.  I masked off the head and bottom of the neck each time so I could extend his neck all the way down three cards.

Then I masked him piece by piece so I could create the fun clouds.

After I did the giraffe I felt like there was something more that needed to be added, so I grabbed my trusty Paper Smooches and found this adorable bird.  I always associate giraffes with little birds for some reason, no idea why, but he was so cute and I loved how his wings are extended but short so you know he needs that balloon to help him fly up to his friend.

Then of course the leaves and hills.  Since this particular stamp doesn't have a body i wanted it to look like he was above the trees, Way above the trees, so I used leaf stamps from Paper Smooches Zoo Crew and Leafy Greens.  The sentiment is also Paper Smooches.  You know me can't get enough Paper Smooches.  ( Shout out to Kim ~ DT just saying ).....

So this is the card from top to bottom.  I love how he turned out and how there is a surprise in the middle of the card too.

Leave a comment and tell me what you think and if you try this tri-fold card link me a pic of what you came up with.  The possibilities are endless.  Don't forget to follow me!!!

Have a great day

Online Card Class ~ Insider

Yes another post today, crazy I know.

I started my Online Class with Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire and Oh what fun the class is and I have only watched the one day.  I wanted to get my creation up so I didn't get too far behind.  I love putting things on the inside of my cards so this class was perfect.  Lots of fun ideas.

This is what I created.

I really like doodlebug paper and accessories.  So I felt this was so fun to make.  You know when you have an idea and it just comes together perfect, well that was this card.  So easy and so fun.

I used a couple of different stamps.  The tag was from the new SSS release Medium tags and the Trick or Treat is from Lawn Fawn.  I fit perfect on the tag I was so happy.  I colored the candy corn with Copics and cut them out.  They are also from Lawn Fawn.

On the inside I wanted the little bat from Paper Smooches Falling for You set.  I used an extra piece of paper from the card front and made the strip for my little bat to hang from and add the sentiment from the set.  A little Boo brad topped it off.  After I took the pics I decided to round the bottom right corner for a little interest and it looked great.

Fun card.  I wish all of my ideas came together this easy.  I can't wait to see what the class has in store for me today and what my brain will come up with to share with you.

Happy Crafting.

Wedding Shower Project

 Hi again,
Lots of posts today.

My soon to be sister found this great find at a swap meet and wanted to make it up for the Bridal Shower to have a countdown to the wedding day.  Since she says I am so crafty ( boy do I have her fooled ) She asked if I would come up with something.

Now this was not easy considering her favorite color is black. Yes black.  I couldn't make flowers or anything to decorate the board black so I fell back on her favorite flower a daisy.  At the wedding her brides maids will be wearing a champagne color so I thought champagne and pearls would be lovely together.

So this is the finished product.  I used my Cameo and cut out all different sized daisy's and layered them for the gorgeous effect.  I added pearls to the middle of each flower for an added wedding feel.

I cut all of the words out of white vinyl and just stuck them on like a sticker.  It ended up working out perfect and the Bride loved it (bonus).

So that was my project.  It was super fun and I think turned out pretty darn good.
Don't forget to comment and tell me what you think.   Thanks Happy Creating.

Wedding Shower

Hi All,
I am excited to share a couple of projects with you.  The first one is a wedding shower card I did for my soon to be sister.  I love the Paper Smooches set Royal Cuteness.  It is so fun for weddings, little girl cards and just plan wishing someone all they dream of kind of card.

So I wanted to use all of the stamps in the set but alas that was not possible.  So I decided to use a few to make it like a story from front of envelope to inside of the card.   So to have a bit of fun since it is my brother she is marrying I made him the from on the front of the envelope.  He is so cute and his crown has a bit of sparkly and I added the little heart and some more wink of stella to that.

Then you turn it over to open the envelope and there is a big smooch on the flap.

Of course then on the inside is the sentiment with a wand.

And here is one last look at the card.  I added lots of sparkle to the dress and added rhinestones to the bottom of the dress and the crown because all Brides need sparkle.

So much fun and She fell in love with the card.  Her knight in shining armor.

Head to my next post for a look at the board I did for the shower.  It turned out really cute.

Paper Smooches Designer Challenge

Okay I really wanted to enter a project into the PS Designer Challenge and with Halloween coming I thought this project was appropriate.  Now this project is not an original Nichol Magouirk at nicholmagouirk.typepad.com did this similar project on her blog several weeks ago with Lawn Fawn stamps.  The haunted mason is from the the same company SVG.com.  I completely fell in love with Nichol's so I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to use all of my really adorable Paper Smooches halloween stamps and dies.  Okay, here is my Disclaimer.  This house was NOT easy.  It is definitely not for the faint of heart.  It is possible but it does take alot of work and time.  So if this is something you want to conquer just know that ahead of time.

The paper I used was from a collection I had from CTMH.  I love how they all come together.  All of the people are from different PS sets, Spookalicious, Halloweenie and Falling For You.  I love the coordinating dies.

So I first assembled the house.  What fun that was.  Now I need to take a photo at night because all of the windows light up.  I am so excited to share that tomorrow.

My little gargoyle sits on top to protect the Mansion.    I the skulls are peeking through the windows and light will shine through their eyes.  Creepy!!!

I just love this witch.  She was so fun to color.  I used Copics and colored her and then added Wink of Stella to her dress in Orange and Purple to her hat band and socks.  Hard to see but she is really sparkly.
My little Vampire is soooo fun.  His cape is lined with a little sparkly also.  Just a touch for fun..

The 31 is from a Tim Holtz collections Love Love as an address plaque.   Then for the door knob I used a witches boot brad. (no idea where I got it from)

Of course it would not be a haunted mansion without a spider web.  I don't like spider ( not even a little) so they have to be really cute in order for me to even look at them and I couldn't find one so he is hiding from me somewhere inside the mansion.

And thats the project.  I love PS.  I will try to get a good night time pic and post that tomorrow.
Thanks for visiting.  If you attempt this project please leave me a note I would love to see what you do with it and how your assembly was.
Happy Creating.  Big Hugs.

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

Okay everyone I am stepping out of my comfort zone and I am entering a card into a Smooches Spark challenge.  You can go to the Sparks link http://papersmoochessparks.blogspot.com/ to see the actual challenge picture.

I used flowers from many different stamp sets to get the look I wanted.  This was a hard challenge.  I think I colored and cut out like 100 flowers before I decided on these.  I layered them all up and placed them over the Paper Smooches Vase.  The sentiment is from the Many Thanks Set from Paper Smooches and I embossed the side of the card with a cuttle bug embossing folder.  So there it is.....

Hope you like it.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Happy Creating.  BIG HUGS!

Birthday Cards

Hey guys I am finally getting a bit of time to post some of the cards I have been working on.  I have been super busy and have not had a chance to get things up.  I actually have 2 Birthday cards to share I made for family.

This one was super easy.  I cut the soccer ball on my silhouette and made it a top open card.  Added the banner and there you go.  Quick card for all of the soccer lovers.

My next card was super fun to make.  I love copic coloring and I love this image from Saturated Canary.  Now I have a disclaimer.  I wish she had a one piece bathing suit on but I could not find one and this one is called Cali Girl.  My sister in law to be lives in Cali and she is as cute as this card.  She loves the beach and actually my brother proposed on the beach so I felt this was appropriate for her Birthday.

I used some pattern paper from a 6x6 pack to make the waves.  The sentiment is from Fresh Squeezed Lemon.  They are one of my new favorite stamp designers.  (Smooches is still my #1) After I assembled everything I used my Wink of Stella pens to add a subtle shine to her hair and glossy accents on the glasses and phone.  To finish it off I added the little wood boat from Studio Calico and added a cute little heart.  I just love this card.  Makes me want to hit the beach post haste.
