PAPER SMOOCHES BLOG HOP

I am so excited for the new Paper Smooches Blog Hop and September release.  Anyone who follows me know Smooches are my all time favorite stamps and dies.  I think I have almost collected every set out. I have so much fun with their sets its ridiculous I should be working for them.  Anyway head over to the Paper Smooches bloghttp://papersmooches.blogspot.com and see what some of the wonderful designers have come up with.

There is a giveaway so make sure you leave comments.  Its such a great opportunity to see what others come up with and get your creative juices flowing.

On another note I have another card to share with you I will probably post it today or Sunday.  My daughter is coming to Salt Lake this weekend for College Volleyball.  This means I get to spend my whole weekend watching tournaments and seeing my girl do her thing.  So check back to see my new card.

Card Catch Up!!

Hey all,
I was having fun playing with some new inks and the "To the Point" stamp set from Avery Elle.  I made a few cards I wanted to share.

First there was this card.  (It doesn't have the set from Avery Elle) but I love love love this little Gecko Guy.  The gecko guy on the Insurance commercials kill me.  I love him to death.  Anyway, I used my grass die to cut the layered grass and colored the back ground with Broken China from Tim Holtz and lots of water.  Tied it up with a string and there you go.

This card I did with the Avery Elle Stamp set.  I stamped the arrows in light neon colors (you can't see them very well)  Then I stamps the little stamp every other one.  I used the Many Thanks set from Paper Smooches for the sentiment.  This was not my favorite.  It worked though.

I liked this version better.  I did the same thing and stamped the arrows.  The pattern came out accidentally.  I was going to skip every other one and forgot and stamped the one right next to the other one. Opps,  so I ended up with this pattern which I actually like better.  I cut them out and mounted every other one on foam squares.  This sentiment was also from Paper Smooches.  I think this one turned out much better but I still am playing with other ideas.  I love stamping this stamp and then over it.  The possible color combos are endless.

Hope you like the cards.  Tell me which style you like better.
Thanks for stopping by.  Happy creating.

GIFT CARD HOLDERS

Ok These were made for my mom.  She is having a party and wanted something cute to put the gift cards in.  This was inspired by a really cute card that Kristina Werner did awhile back on Simon Says Stamp.  I loved her card so I decided to make it a miniature.

These were so fun.  The stamp set is PaperSmooches Green Thumb.   If you go to SSS and search Green Thumb and scroll down a bit Kristina has a video on the technique.  The tops fold down to hold the card in so you can seal them.
So much fun.

Big Hugs, Happy Creating!!!!

FINALLY SOME CARDS

Hi All,
I know I haven't posted in a bit but I have not been neglecting my card making.  I have made several cards and a gift card holder I would like to share.

I wanted to play with the Dylusions inks for these cards.  So I took some Marshmallow Card Stock and colored the paper first.  After that I die cut all of the butterflies.  I LOVED the paper it was so fun to play with the inks.  They are awesome and they work great together.

I had extra butterflies so I made this card.  Both are really fun cards and I love the brightness of both.  They are so spring.  That is what I love.
